The GTA Crosstown is a regional project that requires collaboration across municipalities, transit agencies, and levels of government. No single jurisdiction can deliver it alone, but together, the region can align policy, planning, and investment around a shared vision for sustainable growth.

GTA’s Challenges

Moving forward will require coordinated corridor-level planning, zoning reforms that support transit-oriented development, innovative public–private partnerships, and meaningful engagement with communities. Just as importantly, it requires recognizing that incremental solutions are no longer enough to address the scale of the GTA’s challenges.

Proactive Alternative

The cost of inaction continues to rise — in congestion, housing insecurity, and environmental impact. The GTA Crosstown offers a proactive alternative: a long-term investment in mobility, affordability, and sustainability that benefits the entire region.

This project is a proposal, but it is also an invitation to re-think how the GTA grows — and to build a future that is more connected, inclusive, and resilient.
